The west wind has made the lake pretty choppy the last few days but they’re still catching fish. The walleye fishing is still hit or miss with some boats bringing back 3-4 good ones, but the walleye are still west. Jerry Lee and Blue Whale are the hot spoons right now. The steelhead fishing has really picked up out past the point of pins with many boats hitting their limit the past couple days. The bass fishing has been pretty good in the bay and in the lake out east of the channel these first few days of bass season – yellow frog live targets have been working in the bay.

The boats are still running West up past the Rifle Range, and are catching a few Walleyes, they are still fishing in that 40 to 20 range.  I seen a few Steelhead, caught this week  down off the Point Of Pins, they should be coming with the Mayflies hatching. Lots of bass boats out in the Bay this morning with opening day.

The fishing is still a little spotty.  One boat caught 5 Thursday down off Dealtown, and another boat caught 4 straight out in 40ft of water, other boats are reporting 2 and 3 fish.  But with this SW wind and the heat it should start bringing the fish down to us. The pan fishing is still decent in the Bay, few perch and crappies.
