Wow what a great day of fishing. A lot of boats went West 245deg about 7 miles they picked up lots of Walleyes and a few Steelhead. Some boats fished 210 degs for 4 to 5 miles and took wallyes to. Plannerboards were working the best with any deep diving body bait, like bomber long As, Walleye divers, and Thunder sticks around 100ft back. Hotlips lips back 45 tp 60 was also working. Dipsys were back 90 to 110 ft on a 3 setting, not much going on the riggers. The hot spoons are Blue and Silver and bumble bee (Shrewsbury).  Sounds like the fish are all in the 20 to 30 range.  I saw alot of boat East of the Point yesterday but have not talked to anyone that fished it.

Well last night was a good night for fishing. We ran 245 degs for 7 miles, this puts you in about 58ft of water up behind Dealtown, we were trolling East and West don’t go over the mud rockline.  Dipsys back 100ft on a 3 setting  blue and silver spoon was hot. Long A bombers black with gold belly, back 100ft on the planner boards was also working good. We ended up with 18 walleyes and one of them was  10 lbs.

In the Lake:

Trolling from the Rifle Range to Dealtown in approximately 40ft.-50ft. water depth, using both spoons and body baits, Chuck Irwin had 8 walleye and another gentleman had 13 the day prior. Gary Rogers was trolling SW of the harbour in 60ft. of water using body baits approximately 30 ft. down, and was able to bring 9 walleye into the boat.

Another Gentleman said that he was fishing with a friend in the lake just off of the point and pulled in 55 jumbo perch using both live and salted minnows – both types of bait were hitting equally well.

In the Bay:

With bass season now open, the bass are abundant in the bay and available to catch. Smallmouth are being caught in the opening of the bay beside the fish tugboats in the channel. Fisherman were out Wednesday morning and were able to catch and release about 20 largemouth each, averaging between 2.5lbs – 3.5lbs. The biggest reported bass catch that day was 4.4lb largemouth.
