The fishing has been steadily increasing as the weather started to become nice, however today seems to be a little windy. Hotlips with orange belly’s approximately 120-150 feet back seemed to be doing the trick for body baits as of lately. Orange and purple spoons managed to work well as fishing off the point has increased due to the numbers of steelhead that are being caught. If you fish off the point, be sure to be in 40-50 feet of depth and to have your lures set to a depth of 15-25 feet as you continue to troll out east towards the gas line. If you plan on fishing for walleyes, be sure to head SW of the channel to about 50 feet of water and start trolling straight west from the rifle range or straight south straight out from the rifle range. Have your lines set for approximately 30-40 feet of depth. Mind you, no lure is set to catch fish so every 30-45 minutes without catching fish be sure to change up your lures.
